Eighth Grade Makes Pilgrimage
Posted on 10/19/2016

On October 11, our Eighth Grade students made the Holy Year Pilgrimage to the National Shrine of Divine Mercy in Stockbridge, Massachusetts.  The Pilgrimage was made possible through the collaboration of St. Columba Parish, and was led by Fr. Michael with the Assistance of Sr. Kathleen, Mrs. Forlenza and Mrs. Galletti.

The students’ day began with a talk on Divine Mercy followed by walking through the Holy Doors.  The students then prayed at the stunning life-size outdoor Stations of the Cross.  A picnic lunch on the peaceful grounds and a visit to the gift shop followed.  After lunch, the students participated in Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament and were able to receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation.  Afterwards, the students prayed the Rosary, celebrated the Eucharist, and prayed the Divine Mercy Novena and Chaplet.  The pilgrimage ended with a Benediction.
