SDSC Hosts Annual Senior Citizens Lunch
Posted on 12/16/2016

Senior citizens have given so much to our community and have supported our school for many years.  That is why each year our school and Church community honor them with our annual Senior Citizen Christmas Luncheon.

This year’s luncheon featured a hot lunch prepared by parents, alumni and parish volunteers. The food for the luncheon was donated by St. Columba Parish.  The 7th Grade students cheerfully played the roles of the waiters and waitresses. After lunch, our students presented the Christmas Story to our guests.

Many thanks to the following volunteers who organized the luncheon this year, including set-up, clean-up, cooking and serving:  MaryAnn Menuau, Gary Bartilucci, Joe Castellano, Bridget Connolly, Janet Graves, Ken Helkowski, Christa Kennedy, Libby Kish, Mrs. Mulvey, Danielle Peratikos, Darlene and John Polidoro, Gina Ruocco, Heather Sulca, Marge Schifini and Mrs. Smith.

We are grateful to Fr. Michael for his support, as well as Mrs. Fisher and the faculty for preparing the Christmas Story.
